RELAPSE will be the final Dollhaus show. The Dollhaus curates one last show at the old Dollhaus Art Gallery with RELAPSE, a photography based exhibition. John Santanello is a Brooklyn based photographer. He has been taking photographs since a very young age. The Dollhaus is proud to present a series of unseen photographs taken when he was just 13 years of age during the year 1978-1979. Santanello otherwise known as 'Johnny Saint' at the time attended some of the most earliest gigs of bands coming out of the 'New York Punk Rock' scene. Amongst some of the bands you will see documented are of The Dead Boys playing at cbgb (1978), The Ramones at CBGB (1979), Johnny Thunders at HEAT (1979).

There will be a collection of large scale portraits and smaller action shots with a couple of behind the scene images. All photographs are in color and will be shown in the old Dollhaus art gallery space which is now called BITTERSWEETS, a salon by definition is a gathering place for ideas, collaboration, and inspiration. At Bittersweets New York Jewelry Salon we wanted to implement this concept as a template for our shop. The shop is run by Micole Taggart and Robin Adams

The jewelry in the shop is made primarily by Ms. Adams who worked many years as a metal finisher at various foundries in New York since 1996. The materials are your standard jewelry fare; silver, gold and pearls… but what you'll find, is a keen eye for design and wry sense of humor in her work. Flies, Maggots, Earthworms, Monkey Skulls, Unicorn Horns, and Vampires are common themes found in Bittersweets New York creations.

Madame Dollhaus also introduces some 'DOLLHAUS' jewelry to BITTERSWEETS in memory of Dollhaus Art Gallery. There will be items on show at the opening reception of RELAPSE.

In conjunction with the art opening at 5pm, Bittersweets will open their doors at noon and have guest DJ's Reaganomics and Peter Gunn from PURE FIRE (www.axischemicals.com) play sets throughout the day and the band Villains will be playing live.
