Acrin Solar System – Cluster of planets which circle the star Miter: the solar system contains nine planets (in order closest to the Miter): Nephros, Nar, Trispia, Matta, Celine, Sis, Tarnos, Meig and Chauce.


Amorice – The Jesin frined with the Duke Cynt, male, red and white with big paws.

Andria – One of twenty-two realms existing on the planet of Matta, ruled by twin kings named Alexe and Xander.

Andrian – From the realm of Andria, or having the characteristics of Andria. 

Ansel – First Minister to Duchess Adlai.

Antiers – One of the six Federated West countries on the Western edge of Matta. Antiers, like the Canastry Islands is separated from the mainland. 

Arrain Galpersmeed – Ranger to accompany Duchess Adlai to Trispia. His native Tillubian name is Arrain-Lipse.

Arf – A sound made by Jesin.

Aschramn University – One of the oldest institutions in Aspirtius, Rhinnean.

Aspirtius – Capitol city of Rhinnean.

atomiscope – Mechanical device used to explore both the micro and the macro. An atomiscope is in Earth terms both a microscope and a telescope. It has some additional filtering features that neither Earth machines have.

Canastry Islands – Island country to the far northeast of Matta, separated by the mainland by Muria.

Castle of Mirrnah — A castle of the Royal House of Entread, located in the heart of the capitol city of Aspirtius, Rhinnean. 

Celine – Fifth world from Miter in the Acrin Solar System.

Chab-Riban – Great architect from the Golden Age of the Tillubian Empire. 

Chalice – One of two Jesin frined with the Duchess Adlai, female, tri-color, black, tan and white with big eyes.

Chauce – Ninth world from Miter in the Acrin Solar System. 

Cirnos – One of the twenty-two realms of Matta, bordering Rhinnean, Tillubia and the Torres.

cochoro – Canastry Island word for partner.

cordiam – A device used to communicate between long distances.

corselle – A corseted girdle serves as a fashion-conscious utility belt housing useful gadgets and weapons.

corselt – Masculine version of corselle.

Count Herrison – Master of Guard to Duchess Adlai of Rhinnean.

Court Conclavat – An annual gathering of Matta’s leaders where knowledge is shared and disputes are settled.

Dam Zarina – Alpha of the Jesin, mother of Malice, Chalice and Amorice, black and white, with a long snout.

dotarn – A mechanized hover vehicle for short land travel, used in place of a horse when necessary to transport several people or items at once.

dristle – A device used to project images, movies, sounds, named after the inventor who created it.

Duchess Adlai – The Duchess of Rhinnean, House of Entread, daughter of Duke Hanse and the Lady Mithera, and our heroine

Duchess Lana – First wife of the Duke Hanse, House of Entread, mother of Duke Cynt. Died in childbirth in 3040 at the age of 21.

Duke Cynt – The late Duke of Rhinnean, House of Entread, son of Duke Hanse and the Duchess Lana, brother to Duchess Adlai, died in 3061 at the age of 21.

Duke Ermber – Father to Duke Hanse, Grandfather to Duchess Adlai.

Duke Hanse – The mad, abdicated Duke of Rhinnean, House of Entread, father of Duke Cynt and Duchess Adlai. Also, a founder of the first Court Conclavat and noted inventor and explorer.

Earl of Aquin – Member of the Rhinnean High Council.

Earl of Birille – Member of the Rhinnean High Council and High Dean of Aschramn.

Earl of Errolee – Member of the Rhinnean High Council, cousin of Duchess Adlai, next heir to the throne, has two younger sisters: Lucca and Mille.

E-Linnear – One of the six Federated West countries on the Western Eastern edge of Matta.

Emperor Niril-Gent – Current Magistrate of The Court Conclavat, also Emperor of Tillubia.

Empress Niril-Nahada – Wife of Emperor Niril-Gent. 

Entread – The House of Entread is the royal family of Rhinnean. The current reigning monarch is the Duchess Adlai.

esoptic current – An energy source on Matta.

evestri – A series of pipes, bells or crystals beautifully crafted into an ornament which is generally worn from around the waist, wrist or foot which makes sound.

Falitanirri – Canastry name for Gina-Falita.

Farthing Tower – Tower of Kaligry Keep where Duke Hanse is kept.

Fashionworks – Crafting unusual materials for wearable functions which result in fashionable trends.

Fastern Garhn – Spiritual Oasis in the Tithe section of Trispia. Shrouded in mystery and mired with unusual formations.

Federated West Alliance – Consists of six countries on the Western edge of Matta including Antiers, Linnear, Gol, Mattan, Kilva and E-Linnear.

Fetturn Outpost – The first coastal fort built in the Tithe region of Trispia.

Flinter’s Ale – Ale brewed at The Keep.

frine ‒ Or frined, the connection created between a Jesin and it’s human.

gadoleer – Boat-like craft used for sailing across the skies of Matta and Trispia at high altitudes.

gaoler – Jail, jailer.

Garonelle Tower – A tower at Kaligry Keep. 

Gina-Falita – Lady-in-waiting and good friend of Duchesse Adlai, from the Canastry Islands in the extreme Northeast. Native name is Falitanirri.

gnark – Or gnarking, the act of fighting with carnivorous plant life.

gnee – A common tree which grows on Matta, produces a tasty fruit also called gnee.

Gol – One of the six Federated West countries on the Western edge of Matta.

Gollian – Of, or having characteristics of the country of Gol.

Governor Brist – Governor of the New Nean colony on Trispia.

graphe – Device used for communicating to parties on Matta and Trispia. It is a bit like a three dimensional hologram but looks like a decorative bowl when not in use. Not entirely reliable, communication is often disrupted by solar flares.

Hall of Verice – A room in Kaligry Keep where The High Council meets.

Jamin – A coastal “fishing” camp near New Nean on Trispia. Instead of actual fish, aquatic plant life is harvested.

Jesin – Strange magic beasties! Jesin are on average about 20 pounds. In earth terms, a Jesin resembles a Basenji or a fox. Jesin have a symbiotic “relationship” with the House of Entread.

Jesinry – Special palace built on the grounds of Kaligry Keep, where the Jesin of the royal House of Entread reside.

Kaligry Keep – Often referred to as The Keep, this is the main residence of the royal House of Entread on the planet Matta.

Kilfer – Master Inventor to the Duchess Adlai and longtime childhood friend, trained under Duke Hanse.

Kilva – One of the six Federated West countries on the Western edge of Matta.

King Alexe – One of the two twin kings who rule Andria.

King Xander – One of the two twin kings who rule Andria.

Kresopo – A guard at Kaligry Keep who is assigned to watch Duke Hanse.

Lady Lucca of Errolee – Elder of the two younger sisters of the Earl of Errolee, cousin to the Duchess Adlai.

Lady Mille of Errolee – Younger of the two younger sisters of the Earl of Errolee, cousin to the Duchess Adlai.

Lady Mithera – Second wife of the Duke Hanse, mother of Duchess Adlai, died in 3043, age unknown.

Lampworks – Sculptures which emit light, heat, cold air, general environment control.

Linnear – One of the six Federated West countries on the Western edge of Matta.

lutra – A rare substance found in the deepest caves of Gol.

Malice – One of two Jesin frined with the Duchess Adlai, female, red and white with big ears.

Manatria – The united kingdom of Manatria existed on Matta thousands of years ago, but fractured into the twenty-two existing dominions which now comprise The Court Conclavat.

Marsh Oak – The very darkest and most unworkable wood found on the planet of Matta.

Matta – 1) Fourth world from Miter in the Acrin Solar System, birth world of the Duchess Adlai. 2) The actual continent on the planet Matta is also referred to as Matta.

Mattan – One of the six Federated West countries on the Western edge of Matta.

Meig – Eighth world from Miter in the Acrin Solar System.

Meti – A scout accompanying Duke Hanse on an expedition of the Tithe region of Trispia.

Mistress Edean – Lady-in-waiting to Duchess Adlai.

Miter – The star at the center of the Acrin Solar System.

Miteraine – Jesin to Duke Hanse, a strong tricolor male, black, white and tan, has an extra fluffy tail.

Miterday – Point of the day where Miter is at the highest point in the sky.

Miterdown – 1) Time of day when Miter is no longer visible in the sky. 2) A lavish dinner often held at Miterdown.

Miteris – A written measure of time when on expedition, about a week.

Muria – A great body of water covering seventy-five percent of Matta.

Murian – Of, or coming from, Muria.

Nar – Second world from Miter in the Acrin Solar System.

Nephros – First world from Miter in the Acrin Solar System.

New Nean – The fort and foundry town for the Duchy of Rhinnean on Trispia. It is established on an island just off a mainland continent.

Niblinger – Device invented by Master Kilfer for Duchess Adlai for her coronation.

Nilles – Captain of Duchess Adlai’s gadoleer.

ovoration – A song generated by an ovorator.

ovorator – Mechanical device invented by Duke Hanse to make mundane communication in his residences as musically enjoyable and entertaining as possible. In Earth terms, we might want to replace all loud speakers and intercom systems with ovorators.

plurio bloom – A fragrant Trispian plant.

Prince Gastarn – Second acting ruler of Gol, meets Duchess Adlai at the Court Conclavat.

Princess Tirrel – Acting ruler of Gol, meets Duchess Adlai at the Court Conclavat.

Rhinnean – The Realm of Rhinnean is the Duchy over which the House of Entread rules. It is one of twenty-two realms existing on the planet of Matta. The Duchy once belonged to a united kingdom called Manatria thousands of years ago.

Roadworks – A series of roads and ports facilitating travel for a number of different land and air vessels.

Rykurt – Duke Hanse’s captain on Trispia.

Saren – The Duchess Adlai’s Mistress of Bedchamber.

silverfish thread – Think tinsel, but harvested from fish.

Sire Kalice – Mate to Dame Zarina and father to Malice, Chalice and Amorice.

Sis – Sixth world from Miter in the Acrin Solar System.

Tarnos – Seventh world from Miter in the Acrin Solar System.

Tartian – A disguise used by Arrain Galpersmeed twenty years ago.

terrament – A unit of measuring distance, like a mile or a kilometer.

The Space Travel and Science University – Located in the city of Aspirtius founded by Duke Hanse in 3034.

threstle – Purple plants from Trispia, cultivated on Matta for décor.

Tileworks – Moving tiles that are used for decoration.

Tillsiver – The capitol of Tillubia.

Tillubia Empire – One of the twenty-two realms on the world of Matta. The current Court’s Magistrate, Emperor Niril-Gent, is from Tillubia.

Tillubian – 1) Of, or from Tillubia. 2) Having architecture reminiscent of the golden age of the Tillubia Empire. This architectural style is quite prominent on Matta. Established by the great Tillubian architect Chab-Riban, the style is quite mechanical in both look and function.

Titane – The Jesin of Emperor Niril-Gent, female, red and white, has long legs.

Tithe Region – Unexplored area near New Nean on Trispia.

Torre Dai – Territory on Matta, ally to Rhinnean, along with Torre Malich, often referred to as the Torres.

Torre Malich – Territory on Matta, ally to Rhinnean, along with Torre Dai, often referred to as the Torres.

Torres, the – Two territories on Matta, Torre Dai and Torre Malich, are generally ruled by the same ruling house, but have different sets of governing laws.

Trevure – A plant from Trispia that produces brilliant, shimmery platinum and translucent strands once a year, part of its flowering process.

Trispia – Third world from Miter in the Acrin Solar System. Trispia has a single moon.

Trispian – Of, or from the planet Trispia.

Twille – A fragrant plant.

Vleeding board – A table and tool kit used for invention, creation, drafting, printing and even plotting!

Wirlding – A tasty deep sea mammal resembles a cow, but they swim.
